PATH Sale House for women and their children
The PATH Sale House opened its doors in January 2010. The house serves homeless single women and women with children who are victims of Domestic Violence, struggle with substance abuse, struggle with Mental Illness , or are simply unemployed and financially crimpled due to our current economy. There is a house monitor that lives in the house to monitor the women and children. There is a Case Manager who assists the women in their personal program. The women are assigned chores and must do volunteer work in the community as well as seek housing and do a job search or job training.  There are many educational  and  life skill training classes available for the women such as parenting classes, gardening and canning,  self esteem, quilting , job search workshops, cooking,  financial budgeting, and limited legal services.  The house can hold a total of 15 which includes children.  The house has become very well known in the community with agencies such as Social Welfare, Child Protective Services and Drug and Alcohol. These agencies utilize the Sale House for their clients. There is a 2 year maximum stay at the house. Program length is based on the individuals’ needs and issues.

To qualify for the program a woman or a  women with children must be homeless, must have abstained from drug and alcohol use for 30 days, and must be willing to make the changes necessary to become self-sufficient.
